Description
The Ullswater way walk is without a doubt the most beautiful low level walk in the Lake District. The route is a 20mile walk that circumnavigates Ullswater Lake. The route was created from exciting trails and was put together to attract visitors after the floods in 2018 that wiped out livelihoods and challenged the communities of people living in Pooley Bridge, Patterdale and Glenridding. Starting and finishing at Aira Force waterfall this amazing route offers amazing views throughout.
Whilst this is 100% a challenge to do all 20 miles in one day the route is low level and on good trails meaning that is not as tough as say the Yorkshire 3 peaks. However, if you're planning on doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks this would make a great training day.
Lake District Adventuring offers 2 options for this ;
