Unlike most company’s we don’t offer set walks or days out to set places to see set things on a set date. Because in reality we know nothing about you or what the weather is going to be doing . Which is why we listen to what you may have done in the past and what you would like to achieve out of the day, as well as consider other important factors such as the weather. Once we know this we can put forward some suggestions to you.
We know we’re not the cheapest guides out there but then again you pay for what you get and we use the best Mountain leaders / Mountaineering instructors. We pay them well and because of that we are certain that you’ll have a great time.
There are plenty of reasons why hiring a guide for the day is a great idea. You might be able to see some places that only a few know about, and take on board the guides knowledge and experience of the surrounding area. We will manage your time so that you get to see as much as you possibly can. Our guides will look after you and do all the planning and navigations, we are also pretty good people to be out with and can make your day a really positive experience.
Our Lake District mountain guides will enhance your walk and really help you to have the best time possible. All our guides come with a minimum of Mountain Leader are assessed to the highest level. If your thinking about doing the Mountain Leader course these days also make a great way to meet the guides and find out more come and do a mountain skills course
The cost is £140 per day for up to 2 people however this is dependent on the type of day you are looking to do . For days that involve scrambling, Multipitch climbing then the cost will be £200 per day.
The cost covers your mountain leader / mountaineering Instructor for the day, we define a day as approx 9 hours but this is not a strict rule.
The cost does not cover you for:
- Travel.
- Food and drink.
- Accommodation.
- Any other expenses not mentioned
In short NO you don’t, throughout your booking we will help you plan a day that is realistic to your expectations and ability.
We have an outstanding knowledge of the area and will find you something that ticks all your boxes
Normally this is about 9am but will depend on what we have planned for the day
When you book we will send you a full packing list.
It is based on per day based on a max group of 3. If the group is 4 or more then there is an additional £35 per person.
Had an amazing 2 day Challenge - taking on 24 peaks in 24 hours. Fantastic organisation and support by Jack (ice cold Cokes and Ice Creams at end of days!!). Nathan as a guide was superb and made even the most challenging parts of the days seem 'doable'. A great linear route Grey Knotts to Catstye Cam with fantastic views all round. Anyone thinking of taking a guided hike in the lakes should use Lake District Adventuring. Already planning my next visit and challenge!
An amazing day with Jack in the mountains - i've never been to the lakes before and wanted to use a guide to make sure i got the most out of the day. I certainly did thats for sure. The pace was perfect with not rush at all and Jack is super easy to get on with. All in all a really great day i would recommend getting a guide if your in the lakes to make the most of your time here.
