LAKE DISTRICT PADDLE BOARDING LESSON
fromThis is the perfect less for Lake District Paddle boarding, Throughout this lesson, we will teach you the skills you need to use the paddle board like a pro! During the session, our expert instructors will look at what you have done before and help you to improve on your current skill set as well as give you plenty of new ones to practise. The 2.5-hour session will be spent on one of the Lakes with the vast majority of that time being on the board.
During the course, we will look to help you understand and improve on the following
-Check the weather conditions
-Understand hazards and how to avoid them
-Carry the board and Paddle
-Prone Paddling and when to use it
-Stance and Positioning on the Board
-Stand-up Paddling
-How to fall safely and get back on the board
– Paddling Techniques
Cost start from £70 per adult and £55 per child based on a min of 2 people.

Lake District Adventuring run 2 sessions a day the first being at 09.45 and the second at 13.15. We run these sessions throughout the year
We will supply you with all the equipment you will need for the session. You just need to bring the following:
- Warm clothing that your happy to get in
- Shoes that your happy to get wet
- towel
- Medication
These are open sessions, with restricted numbers for safety. In peak periods there will be a high chance there will be other people in the session.
However, we do our best to put similar groups of people together, for example a family with young children wouldn’t be put together with a group of people on a stag party.
No not at all but being happy in water is a must – everyone will have to wear a buoyancy aid regardless of their ability.
If you are a unconfident or none swimming please let your instructor know on the day.

We run out session on the tip of sheltered bay at Monk Coniston here there is plenty of parking its remote and offers amazing views as well some great paddle boarding to be had.
