Who we are
The journey to Lake District Adventuring is in its own right an adventure of its own. Started and still run by Jack Oliver - Adventuring started life as a way for Jack to earn some extra cash whilst holding down a full time job, also whilst he pursued his passion of mountain running and climbing in any spare time he had!
Over the 4 years since then we have grown into a reputable, popular and respected outdoor provider within the local community and further a field. We have established ourselves as a modern and professional organization which offers amazing adventures all of the time. Jack still manages to get out running and climbing pretty much all the time.
Adventuring has won a number of awards and is ranked Number 2 on Trip Advisor for ``Outdoor activities in the Lake District``
About the owner - Jack Oliver
Started and owned by Jack Oliver our company Director he has built Adventuring from the ground up, but there is more to him than meets the eye.
After leaving the armed forces Jack took some time to travel for a year before settling in the Lake District. Since then he has continued his great adventures in the form of running and climbing. To date he has competed 6 ultra distance runs including the Bob Graham round, Ramsay round and Lakeland Classic rock to name but a few. As well climbing and mountaineering across the globe. He holds a number of high qualifications and plenty of experience to back it.

Quality, experience and enhancement are just a few attributes that a really great instructor / guide can bring to your adventure. All of our team come highly qualified with plenty of knowledge and are very much masters of their craft. Each year they under go hours of further training and CPD to ensure that they are at the pinnacle of their industry. All our kit and equipment is modern, serviced and inspected before and after each use, to ensure that you're in the very best hands possible.
If you have reached this far you will have realised that we are not the cheapest company in the area, however we believe that quality comes at a cost and that our team are worth their weight in gold. We value their experience and feel that it's important that we pay them a fair wage that is above minimum wage and industry standard. After all pay for peanuts get peanuts, right!
