Gorge scrambling Lake District

The Lake District is the capital of the outdoor adventure here in England. With so much on offer to do outside ( even when it is wet ) there really is something for everyone regardless of ability. 

To day we are going to look at 3 of the best Lake District activities for you to do weather your seasoned pro or new to the Lake District. So lets get into it and have a look .

PADDLE BOARDING IN THE LAKE DISTRICT 

Coming in at Number 1 the best Lake District activity to do is of course paddle boarding. 

Over the last 2 years, this incredible sport has grown and grown and it’s become so really popular. It’s ideal for ages. Because of the nature of the boards, you don’t have to go far and it’s a great outdoor activities to do with kids on a nice summer day.

LAKE DISTRICT GHYLL SCRAMBLING

 

Number is the equally if not maybe more popular and in my opinion the best Lake District activities to do is of course Ghyll scrambling or gorge walking as you might of heard it being called in other places. 

Ghyll pronounced GILL scrambling involves jumping and swimming in to pools of water and climbing waterfalls in river streams.

ROCK CLIMBING IN THE LAKE DISTRICT 

 

It just would not be fair to miss out Rock climbing as one of the best Lake District activities. This amazing sport can be done in some truly incredible places. Regardless of level there is something for everyone here in the Lake District. Rock climbing in the Lake District is an amazing sport to come and try. 

 

There is big climbs high on the mountains or smaller crags which are lower down and make really nice days for groups just wanting to try out rock climbing.
