4-Day Mount Toubkal Climb Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech and transfer to your hotel. Use the day to explore the vibrant markets and historical sites or simply rest before the trek begins. In the evening, you’ll meet with your guide for a trip briefing and final gear check.
  • Activity: Arrival and preparation
  • Elevation: 450m (Marrakech)

Day 2: Drive to Imlil and Trek to Refuge (3,207m)

After breakfast, we drive from Marrakech to the mountain village of Imlil (1,740m), a 1.5-hour drive through the scenic Atlas Mountains. From Imlil, we start the trek towards the Toubkal Refuge. The 10km trek takes about 5-6 hours, passing through picturesque villages and valleys, with a gradual climb to the refuge at 3,207m.

  • Elevation Gain: 1,467m (from 1,740m to 3,207m)
  • Trekking Time: 5-6 hours

Day 3: Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m) and Return to Imlil

We begin early to make the most of the day for our ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal. This challenging day involves climbing 960m to the summit over about 5km. After reaching the summit and taking in the breathtaking views, we descend the same route back to Imlil, covering around 15km in total (5km ascent, 10km descent). We arrive back in Imlil by late afternoon for a well-deserved rest.

Day 4: Return to Marrakech and Departure

After breakfast in Imlil, we drive back to Marrakech (about 1.5 hours). Depending on your flight schedule, you can explore more of the city or relax before heading to the airport for your departure home.
