The Scottish Winter Skills Training is a comprehensive two-day course designed to prepare you for the challenges of winter mountaineering in Scotland Cairngorms National Park.
On Day 1, participants focus on mastering foundational skills, including proper ice axe use for self-arrest, fitting and using crampons for icy terrain, avalanche safety awareness, and the basics of winter navigation.
Day 2 dives into advanced techniques, such as snow shelter construction, ropework, and snow belays, alongside honing navigation and movement on steeper terrain.
