GHYLL SCRAMBLING 

Suitable for beginners or adrenaline junkies, ghyll scrambling in the Lake District – or gorge scrambling as it’s also known – is just about the most fun you can have in the water.

Surrounded by beautiful scenery, you’ll ascend and descend along gushing mountain streams, sliding down giant rocks and jumping into emerald-green pools.

No experience is necessary so long as you make sure you develop your climbing skills with an experienced instructor.

Similar to abseiling but ascending rather than descending the rock face, you’ll learn to scale rocks using specialist equipment

SCAFELL PIKE SUNSET WALK 

There is no better feeling than standing on top of England’s tallest mountain and watching the sun cast deep pink and orange hues across the Lake District as it sets on the horizon.

Sunset walks on Scafell Pike not only offer some of the most magnificent views from the summit, but they also give you a great sense of achievement.

Accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, you’ll ascend the mountain at a relaxed pace.

Once at the summit, you can soak up the scenery and take those all-important Instagrammable shots.

To add to this momentous experience, you’ll head back down the mountain in complete darkness.
